Our profuse thanks
Well, it's the morning after the week before, and I'd like to take this opportunity to offer my profuse thanks to everyone involved in the Exchange: pupils, parents and staff alike. We have had an amazing week, and the pupils have been an absolute pleasure to be with throughout. I really hope that they have enjoyed their time in France and have made the most of the opportunities that have been offered to them. We look forward to taking them all on the Paris Trip in 2017! :)

BE3644
We've been advised that our flight will be taking off 32 minutes late. However, we have also been told that we are likely to make up much of this time in flight. Please google the flight number (BE3644) for the most up-to-date information.
Homeward bound
We're all checked in at Bergerac airport and eating lunch in the sunshine before we head through security.
Despite the air strikes making international news headlines, please be reassured that our flight is on time and due to arrive at Southampton airport at 14:40. We look forward to seeing you in the arrivals lounge with your welcome home banners!
The last goodbye...
We have arrived at school for our last morning and are now on our way to the airport. Our goodbyes have been said, but many promises have been made to keep in touch with both partners and parents.

The first goodbye...
Our last night in France is being marked by a get together of parents, partners and pupils. Pizza, quiche, salads and drinks provided by the very kind French families have gone down a treat, and we're now on to the selection of cakes and tarts that we have contributed.

Quercyland
With a slightly patchy weather forecast the French think we are mad, but we have made it to Quercyland water park where the sun is shining and we have the place entirely to ourselves!
Let the swimming, trampolining and slides commence!
The primary school show
The primary pupils had worked very hard to prepare a wonderful show for us and showcase their English. They impressed us by singing songs about a crocodile, walking the dog and the days of the week.
The oldest pupils from the primary school then took to the stage to ask us some questions and even took a survey of our answers.
Finally, we took the opportunity to ask them some questions and were very impressed with their English answers.

Monday- Stories of a fun filled weekend.
Our pupils have returned to school in brilliantly high spirits after a weekend of fun!
Over the weekend pupils have been taken to the local animal park, spent days in the pool, visited museums, been to a fun fair, visited a circus and one of the scouts among us completed a 22km hike!
The list, however, does not end there! Other pupils visited Rocamadour by night to see the beautiful village lit up in the cliff, had sleepovers and visited other museums around the area.
The generosity of the French families has been wonderful and one lucky pupil was bought a great jumper on a second visit to Rocamadour.
Shortly, we will be heading to the primary school to watch a show given by the pupils, before we head off to Quercyland water park. However, for now, we are staging what we hope will be the final of Euro 2016: France v England!

A selection of photos from the week
As I write to you, the pupils are enjoying a weekend with their French families. We look forward to hearing all their stories on Monday. In the mean-time, here are a selection of photos from the week:
Photo treasure hunt
Whilst we were in Rocamdour on Wednesday, the pupils took part in a photo treasure hunt. Armed with their task sheet and a camera, they were asked to find signs in and around the village and to take photos of members of their team with each sign. Congratulations to Annie, Harvey, Lauren, Isobel, Annabel, Eden, Rachel, Maisie, Kieran, Klara, Pascale, Holly and Libby who managed to find all twenty signs!
